Oxidation Catalyst

Catalyzed Particulate Reducing Filter (DPF)

The Clean Emissions Products Inc. Catalyzed Particulate Reducing Filter is designed for use on all grades of diesel fuel. Using a unique process the particulate matter molecules (as small as .5 microns) are trapped and broken down by catalyst reaction and subsequently removed from the exhaust stream. This technology is currently going through "EPA Verified Technology" program.

CO (Carbon Monoxide)

A colorless, odourless gas that affects the respiratory system by restricting the red blood cells ability to absorb oxygen thus causing headaches, lethargy and can by fatal.

HC (Hydrocarbons)

Composed of various hydrocarbons usually the result of unburnt fuel and oil droplets. Exposure can lead to eye and throat irritation and toxicity. This emission is considered a carcinogen and can contribute to the development of some cancers.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)

VOC's include a wide range of carbon based molecules such as aldehydes, ketones and hydrocarbons. VOCs contribute to the development of greenhouse gases such as methane (CH4) and non-methane (MNVOCs).

In addition VOC's are carcinogens and can lead to Leukaemia through prolonged exposure and severe respiratory problems.

NOx (Nitrogen Oxide)

Composed of Nitric Oxide (NO) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) this emission affects the respiratory system and can contribute to ozone "greenhouse gas" effect.

DPM (Diesel Particulate Matter)

Black, blue and white in appearance this emission is primarily seen in diesel engines. Can increase the risk of heart and respiratory illness and has been described as a carcinogen.

HAPs (Hazardous Air Pollutants)

General description of exhaust pollutant group that composes harzards to human safety.

CH2O (Formaldehyde)

Contributes to eye and throat irritation.

Particulate Matter (PM)

Black, blue and white in appearance this emission is primarily seen in diesel engines. Can increase the risk of heart and respiratory illness and has been described as a carcinogen.
